This video is part of a Lenten Bible Study series we created for Floris United Methodist Church. In each video, Pastor Tom Berlin presents a thoughtful message based around the visual metaphor we created for the topic. In this case, a slug is the metaphor for finding God's majesty in unexpected places. Not surprisingly, it's a bit difficult to find a slug at pet shops in Northern Virginia in the middle of the winter…though it did make an excellent excuse for shooting sunsets in Miami, Florida. As producers for this video series, it was nice to have creative control over what shots we wanted for which scripts and how the story would be told. It allowed us to work in a variety of environments and formats to build a video that really made the sermon come to life.
